Mussoorie is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas, Mussoorie is a hill station in the state of Uttarakhand.The hill town of Mussoorie is situated at an elevation of 1,880 meters above sea level, and its staining is famous for green hills and various flora and fauna. The city of Mussoorie was developed by the British, like most hill stations in India. It was to build an office for India's great survey, which was finally established in Dehradun. Tourism has remained as one of the major sources of city economy and the town is crammed with tourists' lodge, luxury hotels, cafes and bars in the city.

Mussoorie is often called 'Mansoori' by local people after 'Mansoor', a local shrub which is indigenous to this region..This city was also known as the first place where the 14th Dalai Lama came in India since the 1919 Tibetan Rebellion. He established the central administration in Mussoorie before moving to Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh state. Tibetan school was also established in 1960, which is a pioneer in the establishment of Tibetans in Happy Valley, which is an important place to visit.

To enjoy the best of Mussoorie, it is best that you travel by foot. There is mall, which is closed for vehicles up to 10 PM. You can take rickshaw and taxis to reach places outside the city. Buses can also be taken from Kempty bus stand to arrive the famous Kempty fall. Due to being a tourist city, Mussoorie is famous for its luxury hill resort from the British Raj and one can find many places that meet all kinds of tourist budgets to fit the budget.

With its scenes of various flora and fauna and the hills of the Himalayan mountains, the green hills of Mussoorie are an ideal place to escape from the scurfy lying fields.It is often described as the Queen of the Hills due to romantic surroundings. The center of all tourist activities in Mussoorie is definitely a central resort, which is known as Mall. Famous nature walk of the back road of camels is such an activity that should be experienced to enjoy the views of the mountains around the hillside city.There are many attractions in Tibetan colonies with hills, waterfalls, old churches, temples and cafes, lakes, gardens, which are included in the city.

There are Nahata Estate, Gun Hill, Kempty Falls, Lake Mist, Bhatta Falls, Mussoorie Lake, Jharipani Falls, Sir George Everest House, End of Cloud, Red Tibba, Tibetan Buddhist Temple, Eco Park and Library etc. are the several places in Mussoorie where tourists must visit.
